After many years running PHF Guy Stanhope retired and a management buy out was undertaken headed by Gary Lewin and Susie Twiggs, the current owners
PHF opened a second specialist packing facility close to their current site
After Forty years building his company Phil Holden retired and Guy Stanhope became sole owner
As recognition for his unwavering dedication Guy Stanhope became a shareholder
Outgrowing their current premises in 1991 PHF moved to a larger site in their current location in Broughton Astley where two years after another key member Gary Lewin began his career in the warehouse.
The company continued to strive and weather the many industry challenges other key members of staff joined the ever increasing team and to date PHF occupies five units, two of which are dedicated to our specialist packing services
Phil Holden Fasteners were the first independent fastener distributor in the East Midlands to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation
With continued commitment to exceptional staff the team were joined in 1986 by Susie Twiggs whose focus was to maintain the high levels of customer service the company was renowned for. These values have remained with PHF to this day, the caring and flexible approach allow us the ability to offer tailored fastener solutions specific to the needs of our customers.
It wasn’t long before both companies re-located to Sharnford where they thrived, proving their commitment to both local and national companies offering cost effective and efficient fastener solutions, Phil Holden Fasteners being the first provider of 'Just in Time' stock managed systems in the East Midlands
Phil's engineering expertise and extensive experience within the fastener industry provided the foundation for the company's growth. This led to a move to larger premises in Narborough, Leicestershire, and in March 1981, Phil Holden Fasteners Ltd was officially incorporated.
Shortly thereafter, Phil was joined by his friend Bob Haden, and together they established Denforge, the company's manufacturing division.
The arrival of enthusiastic salesman Guy Stanhope marked a significant milestone in the company's development. Guy became an integral part of the business and remained a highly valued member of the team until his retirement in 2022.
Phil Holden Fasteners quickly earned a reputation for supplying both standard and specialist fasteners. Built on a commitment to hard work, technical expertise and exceptional customer service, the company experienced rapid growth, continually expanding its capabilities while serving customers across the UK and international markets.
Phil Holden Fasteners was founded in 1978 by the late Phil Holden. From humble beginnings this innovative company steadily grew from his spare bedroom to its current multi unit site in Leicestershire.
